The artist is promoting it in a manner which will have people asking questions regarding song title and who is the artist etc etc. By giving the real fans the chance to have it first to then promote at house parties, gigs or by making up own mixtapes again for promo use should help with promotion along with the fans posting up the links on their myspace or facebook and or even twitter so that it reaches the gathering!!
